Acharya Prashant explains that the concept of the individual is a significant myth, as neither nature nor a state of high consciousness recognizes a separate identity. He emphasizes that because we are interconnected, the consequences of any wrong action are felt collectively. Addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, he points out that the focus on vaccines and administrative failures ignores the root cause: a flawed human lifestyle driven by overpopulation and excessive consumption. This expansion into forests leads to contact with zoonotic viruses, while climate change, fueled by consumerism, threatens to release dormant viruses from melting glaciers. He criticizes the human-centric belief that the earth and its creatures are meant for human exploitation. He asserts that nature does not view humans as superior but as just another species, and it will naturally act to restore equilibrium if one species becomes invasive. He warns that the current environmental and health crises are the karmic results of collective human behavior. He urges a shift from living based on physical instincts—such as eating, sleeping, and reproducing—to living through consciousness. While the body is a part of nature and subject to its laws, true human potential lies in developing awareness and transcending animalistic tendencies.
