Acharya Prashant clarifies that true meditation is not about sitting cross-legged in a prayer room for a short duration, but about being aware of one's consciousness throughout the day. He explains that while nature seeks action and survival—focused on food and reproduction—consciousness seeks to know and observe. Nature does not require awareness; for instance, the lungs function even when one is asleep. However, human consciousness demands an understanding of one's actions and motivations. He critiques the modern education system for providing only 'jungle knowledge' that aids in physical survival and consumption, rather than fostering self-awareness.
