Acharya Prashant explains that Truth is universal and cannot be owned, copyrighted, or trademarked by any individual or institution. He states that the teachings of ancient sages, such as those found in the Shrimad Bhagavad Gita or the words of Kabir Saheb, are public property and can be shared freely without seeking permission. He encourages the dissemination of these teachings but emphasizes that the person sharing them must be cautious about their own internal state and motivations. If the messenger is driven by selfishness or ego, the message itself becomes distorted and can be misused, leading to more harm than good. He warns that spiritual ego is particularly dangerous because it can surpass any material ego in its intensity. Acharya Prashant advises that one must constantly practice self-observation to ensure that the Truth has actually transformed their own life before they attempt to teach it to others. He insists that a person should only speak from their own direct experience and realization. Speaking beyond one's own level of understanding results in an absurd and inauthentic presentation that eventually leads to humiliation. He notes that many people pretend to be enlightened or use spiritual jargon to hide their own deficiencies, but true growth requires being honest about one's own state and not getting ahead of oneself. Regarding the extreme hatred and abuse often faced by those who speak the Truth, Acharya Prashant suggests maintaining forbearance. He explains that those who abuse are often victims of centuries of mental conditioning and old filth. They act as automatons or machines, driven by the rot of the past rather than their own awareness. He points out that cleaning such deep-seated societal conditioning is a long process that requires patience. He shares that even those who initially react with hostility can eventually return to the path of wisdom once they gain some self-awareness.
