Description

Acharya Prashant explains that relying on trust is a mental activity rooted in ego and self-interest. He argues that trust is conditional, based on personal standards of gain and comfort, and is therefore fragile. When trust is broken, it leads to atheism and resentment. He distinguishes trust from faith, stating that faith has no cause, no weight, and no ego. While trust is something you possess, faith is something that possesses you. In true faith, one becomes silent because the Truth is too vast for words or thoughts. He further clarifies that praying to the Divine or claiming to trust God is a form of separation. If the Divine is all-encompassing, there is no separate 'I' to offer trust or prayer. Attempting to understand God's 'grand plan' is a futile exercise of the ego. Instead of trying to decipher or predict the Divine, one should become like the Divine—carefree, spontaneous, and beyond definitions. By letting go of the need for plans and security, one enters a state of rest and play, as exemplified by Kabir Saheb, who left all worries to the Divine.
