Description

Acharya Prashant explains that every person who lives in consciousness is Krishna. The Krishna standing before Arjun is just one special form of Krishna. Krishna himself tells Arjun, 'You do not know me. I am not just the form that you see. I am that which is far beyond form. I am consciousness itself.' The speaker questions if Krishna were to appear today, would he have the same flute, crown, language, or emotions. He asserts they would be completely different, but he would still be Krishna because of consciousness. Therefore, one should not get fixated on form, color, personality, face, or body. The matter is not of personality, face, or body, but of consciousness. Krishna's message is not just for Arjun but for all of us, who are like Arjun. We tend to consider him just a face, but he is not a face; he is far beyond it. He has had countless faces. Every enlightened consciousness's face, every awakened face, is his face. Krishna explains that he is at the source of the stream of nature and also in its midst. Whether we find him there is our choice. Quoting the Gita, he says, 'Whenever there is a decline of righteousness and a rise of unrighteousness, then I manifest myself from that stream.' The decision for Krishna to manifest is not his, but ours. Our own unrighteousness is what makes Krishna manifest; otherwise, he has no reason to take a tangible form. When our cries and sighs change our choices, the truth manifests. This decision is made by us, not by the truth. The entire Gita is like a love letter from Krishna, saying, 'Have mercy, desire Krishna.' Krishna has sent this love letter saying, 'I desire you a lot. Can you desire me?' This is the essence of the Bhagavad Gita.
